Bouha Kazmi is an award-winning London-based director. He has been nominated at the prestigious Shots Awards for Best New Director, and received two consecutive nominations for the Young Director Award at the Cannes Lions. His work has won Best Music Video at the LA Shorts Fest and Miami Short Film Festival. A combined passion for narrative and visual effects has enabled Bouha to create varied projects rich in both substance and vision across a variety of platforms, including music videos, commercials, and short film.
Bouha’s visceral portrayal of social injustice for legendary French band Indochine’s Station 13 was highlighted as one of the most influential music videos with a social message, and nominated for fourteen awards at Camerimage, UK Music Video Awards, Kinsale Shark Awards, 1.4 Awards, Miami Short Film Festival and Ibiza Music Video Awards to name a few. Nominations and wins include Best Music Video, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design, Best Editor, Best VFX and Best Colour Grade.
He spearheaded Zayn Malik’s striking debut music video Pillowtalk featuring supermodel Gigi Hadid. The video racked in over 1 billion views, was nominated at the MTV Music Video Awards and the BRIT Awards (Best British Video of the Year). Bouha’s short film work has featured as part of the Official Selection at fourteen film festivals worldwide, including Raindance Film Festival, London Short Film Festival and Aesthetica Short Film Festival.
